Tempe Union Composite

Enrollment in our mountain bike team is for all 6th-12th grade students.
  • High school ( 9-12th grade) students who attend any school within our Tempe Union Composite  boundary area can join, unless a school based-team exists at the school they attend. This includes, but is not limited to:
    1. Tempe High 
    2. McClintock
    3. Marcos de Niza
    4. Corona del Sol
    5. Mountain Pointe
    6. NOTE: Desert Vista High School has a school-based team, so DV students please see here
  • Middle School (6th-8th grade) students who attend school within the T.U.C. boundary areas, unless they’re eligible for a school-based team.
  • Online charter school, private, or homeschooled students (6-12th) who live within the T.U.C boundary area can join, unless they’re eligible for a school-based team.

You can register to attend one of any of our practices/events for FREE before you commit by using this registration form.

Practices start in July

Monday, Wednesday, & Saturday @ 5:30 am (time will be adjusted as the mornings get cooler)

Rides start from locations including Western Star Park, Kiwanis Park, or Papago Park

FAQs about TUC

We have a loaner bike program! Click here to learn about it.

No, participating in races is not required.

  • A Bike, helmet, closed toed shoes, and water are all that is absolutely required of student-athletes. Gloves and sunglasses are highly recommended.
  • While not required, other gear for on-the-trail bike repairs might include a multi-tool, tire levers, patch kit, spare tube, mini pump or CO2 inflator, chain quick links, zip ties or duct tape.

TUC mountain bike team is open to riders of all ability levels. Whether you're a seasoned trailblazer or a complete beginner, you're welcome to join us in the adventure!

No experience is required, but training and certification through ACA are required. Click here for more information.

With your help, we can provide:
Supplies and repair needs for student-athletes including tires, tubes, Co2, chain lube, and other equipment and materials necessary to keep athletes on their bikes. Race Day supplies such as food, drinks, canopies, chairs, etc. Registration fee waivers and scholarships for students in need SWAG for student athletes Team Activities that promote our team community and spirit.
